Staffed Hours:

  • Definition: Staffed hours refer to the period during which administrative offices, support services, and faculty offices are open.
  • Access: During staffed hours, badged personnel (staff, faculty, guests, and designated affiliates) can access the building through unlocked doors.
  • Purpose: Staffed hours are primarily for administrative tasks, meetings, academic support, and events.

Locked Hours:

  • Definition: Locked hours indicate restricted access to a building.
  • Access: During locked hours, the building remains physically accessible, but all exterior doors are locked. Only individuals with fob permissions can enter.
  • Purpose: Locked hours are typically after regular staffed or business hours and before the building is officially closed. Limited access ensures security while accommodating late-night study sessions or events.

Closed Hours:

  • Definition: Closed hours signify that the building is officially closed to all occupants.
  • Access: During closed hours, no entry is permitted except for authorized personnel (e.g., security personnel, facilities staff, or emergency responders).
  • Purpose: Closed hours allow for building facilities, cleaning, and security checks. It ensures the safety and well-being of everyone on campus.
